Who looks after it
Jamie Dreelan (Head of Golf Fitness) is responsible for the information you give when you book. Contact: [email protected]. The booking system is run for Jamie by an administrator who can see it to keep it working.
What we collect, and why
- To arrange your lessons: your name, email, WhatsApp number, the lessons you book, move or cancel, and payments you make.
- To coach you well: your handicap, goals, which hand you play, and lesson notes Jamie writes after sessions.
- To keep you safe (only if you choose): injury or health notes. These are only saved when you tick the separate consent box, and you can ask for them to be deleted at any time.
- Juniors: a parent or guardian books for anyone under 18. We record the guardian's name and whether they consent to filming for swing analysis.
We use your information to provide the lessons you ask for (that is the legal basis), and your health notes and filming consent on the basis of your explicit consent. We never sell it, and we do not send marketing unless you ask for it.
Filming
Swing video is a normal part of coaching. It is used for your coaching only. Juniors are only filmed with a parent or guardian's consent, and no video of anyone is published without separate permission.
Who else handles it
- Our hosting provider, where the booking system and its database run (data centres outside the UAE).
- Our email delivery provider, which sends your confirmations and reminders.
- If you pay online, the card payment provider (Stripe), which handles your card details directly; we never see them.
These providers process information only on our instructions and with appropriate safeguards for transfers outside the UAE, as the UAE Personal Data Protection Law requires.
How long we keep it
- Booking and payment records: up to 5 years after your last lesson, for accounting.
- Health notes: until you ask us to delete them, or 2 years after your last lesson.
- Swing video: as long as it is useful for your coaching, and deleted on request.
Your rights
Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) you can ask for a copy of your information, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how it is used, and withdraw a consent at any time (this does not affect anything done before). Ask Jamie directly. If you are not happy with the answer you can complain to the UAE Data Office.
Security
Everything travels over encrypted connections. Only Jamie and the system administrator can sign in, each with their own login.
